Chat Colours

You can change colours for most things in armagetron, including chat text, bike and tail colours. Changing colours helps you personalise your game and character.

Name and Chat Colours

You can change your name and chat colour by going to player settings, below is a guide to some of the colours you can have for your NAME and CHAT writing. You can vary the colours just by changing the RGB values.

RED :: The first 2 letters or numbers are red value
GREEN :: The middle 2 letters or numbers are green value
BLUE :: The last 2 letters or numbers are blue value

Changing Colours

To change your name and chat colours first you type 0x before the colour code (please note the "0" is a zero)

In player setup, where you would type your player name, type the colour code before your name, please not that once the last character of the colour code is entered, the characters disapear, this is normal, then type your name, it will show in the colour code you have entered. The same can be done for instant chat.
Player names are limited in characters, so too many colours will limit how your name displays, each character of the code counts as a normal character.

If you want multi coloured writing you will have to type this code before either each letter or word depending on the effect you want.

For example typing 0xff0000H0x0000ffI will be HI

0xff00ffLOL 0x0000ffLOL 0xff0000LOL will give you LOL LOL LOL

It is worth noting that each letter of the code, even though invisible to the eye, is counted as a character and when using many colours you may get kicked for spamming if you are not careful.

Some servers have disabled the colour codes, So do not expect to see coloured words on all servers.
