You can change colours for most things in arma, including chat, bike and tail colours. Changing colours helps you personalise your game and character.
You can change your bike colour by going to player settings
Below the instant chat menu there are three colours
RED, GREEN and BLUE
When you move your arrow keys (up and down) over the colour values a box appears in the right hand side corner of the screen. This box indicates the colour of your bike.
By moving the red, green and blue values up or down by your left and right keys you can change your bike colour to suit you
Your bike tail colour will compliment your chosen bike colour.
For more colour variations and dual color bike / tail, you have to access your *CONSOLE* Commands. For full instructions and details of accessing your console commands please click here
The console command has to be accessed during game play, so is is best to access between rounds of game play, or while playing a local game.
Press the console key. A command prompt will appear as CON:
When you press your console key, the game continues but you will be on auto pilot
There are 3 commands you need to type during game play to define your colors are
color_r_1 for red level
color_g_1 for green level
color_b_1 for blue level
Note: setting any level to 16 or above sets the tail level = 15 and the bike level = level - 16
For example during the game press the console key and enter the command color_r_1 6 would set both tail and bike red = 6
But entering color_r_1 24 would set tail red = 15 and bike red = 8 (24 - 16 = 8 (see above)
This would give full red tail (15) and half red bike (8). Used in combination with the green and blue commands you can create a wide variety of color combinations
Please note that after entering your color commands you might have to wait a few rounds before you see your new color combination
Here are a few examples of colour combo's but try to experiment with your own (try them out in a local game first)
Note as well, that if you access your "Player 1" settings after you have set a colour in "console", then your colour will revert back to the default colour that you set in Player 1 settings and you will have to access the console command again if you want your console colour settings back
