Console

Armagetron LightCycle

The console key can be used in game to change bike and tail colour, this is how players obtain dual colours. You can also change your player name without leaving the game and access some of the server settings.

Console Settings

The Console command is accessible while you are playing on an online server and also in a local game. By using the console command on a local server, it allows players to check colours offline and the results are usually instant, changing colours or name on an online server can take a few game rounds to show.
By using the console, players can learn most of the servers parameters .There are commands you can type that will tell you the cycle rubber, cycle delay and much more.

By default the console key is ^ you can change this to be any key that suits you best.
If you want to change the key to open the console, launch the game.
Select "System Setup" and then "Misc Stuff"
Now select "Global Keyboard Configuration"
Here, highlight "Console Input" and after pressing Enter key, press the key that you want to use to open the console. If you do a mistake, you can delete the wrong key by pressing enter again and re-entering the key of your choice.

The most common used console commands are:

To change your bike and tail colours as explained in Colour Commands:
color_r_1 16
color_g_1 0
color_b_1 0
Colour changes made with the console may not show for a few games, so please be patient.

player_1 name
This command will change your name in game so you do not have to leave, but as with colours, the name change may not take effect for a few rounds.

cycle_rubber
This command will tell you what the rubber is set to on the server you are currently playing on.
