Game Play Settings

Armageton has many servers with different settings and game play modes, new options are being looked at and acted on all the time. Armagetron Advance is constantly being updated and improved.

Game Settings

When you first click on armagetron, you are taken to a splash screen, after a few seconds this will change to the main menu where you will access the game and the following settings.

Internet Game takes you to the following screen

You use your "arrow" keys to move through the menu and your "enter" key to access the menu you have chosen.

Game Menu

Choosing the Game menu will take you to another screen with the following options

Local Game
Local Game is where you play against AI's on your own computer.

Network Game
Choosing this network game will take you to another screen offering you more options.

Lan Game
Lan Game is where you play people connected via a lan, in other words on the same network. Lan games can still be played online as long as one of the pc's connected to the network sets itself up as an Armagetron game server. Lan parties are popular and can be fun.

Internet Game
Accessing this menu will connect you to the master server so you can see what servers and what players are online. Use your arrow keys to move through the server list, once you have chosen a server press enter and join the fun. If you see the message you need to upgrade, then your version of Armagetron is not up to date for that server and you need to upgrade.

Network Setup
This is where you set your ping charity and choose if you would like your lagometer turned on or off. There are also some advanced settings that you can change to suit your game play.

Server Bookmarks
When you are on the main server list, you can bookmark any server. As your curser key is on a server name, pressing "B" will bookmark that server. Any servers you have bookmarked are stored and accessed through this menu.

Custom Connect
Custom connect is where you have the IP or correct name for a server, this is useful for private games that aren't announced to the master server.

Game Setup
Game Setup is where you can can change the settings for a local game where you play AI's. You can change these settings to practice, and you can also try and emulate the settings of your favourite server. Changing these settings does not affect your online game settings
